Found this easy hack on the facebook group, Samsung Omnia. Thanks to David Brogan of Newcastle. The hack involves a few quick taps of the keypad to enter the hidden menu system. With a few tweaks, you can get your Omnia louder or softer depending on what you prefer. The settings are selective too; you can set mp3s to be louder, or bluetooth headphones to be softer. Just remember to be careful because once you "apply the settings" you'll have to reenter the values again to get them a back to default--there's "switch to default" button:
In the phone keypad type: *#0002*28346#
You will then have a screen pop up called audio control util.
Click menu, normal then handset (the first one, Phones headset / loudspeaker) Here you can change:
Speaker
Digital-to-analog: DAC(0C) this effects the overall
Radio
How to change the headset / earphones
Click menu, normal then headset (the second one, Headphones) Here you can change:
Headphones
Digital-to-analog: DAC(0C) This effects the overall
Radio
* You must click menu / apply for changes to take effect,
* I recommend play a Mp3 launch the app, then apply the changes and set your prefered max
* Setting high levels could damage the loud speaker or your headphones, not to mention your hearing!!
I don't recommend touching other settings unless you know what your doing or have copied the defaults so you can revert back."
