Lines, lines, lines

I wrote this when I was 16 in high school (probably for English class in the 10th grade) :

Chan Poh Wah was my Grandma
She taught me how to color in my
Coloring book
--Don't color out of the lines--
That makes it ugly
Instead, make it beautful by filling out the spaces
All the way to the lines but remember,
--Don't color out of the lines--
She never had too much of an opinion
But when she taught me how to color
She would always say,
--Don't color out of the lines--
Skies are blue
Clouds are white
Roses are red
--Don't color out of the lines--
Keep Ernie's hue
Remember the kite
Elmo is also red
--Don't color out of the lines--
Stay in the line, don't break or bend rules
Just stay in the line and it will be beautiful

I reminisce of great times I had with
My Grandma
I only now realize what an impact she has made
On my life

When I get old, I'm going to teach my grandchildren
How to color
