Yeah I think he looks creepy too. It's not so much the massive mustache, the thick sideburns, or even the grey-ing chin stubble. It's those eyes.

Carnival Cruise Food Pictures

I've been meaning to upload these pictures for some time now. During spring break (Feb 16th-24th) I went on a week-long cruise to the Mexican Riviera on board Carnival Pride with my parents. I still haven't been able to get over how amazing the food aboard the ship was. We made it a point to always go to the formal dining hall (called Normandie on the Pride) and avoided the buffet (which we only ate during days when the ship was in port). The food was incredible! Here's a few pictures of dishes we enjoyed:

Whew! It's definitely been a while since my last update--times have been busy. This is a video that I came across of Digg. And though it appeared on the last page of the "top in 24 hours", I still feel is one of the best finds out there. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a professor of neuroanatomy at Indiana Univeristy. Below is her 18-minute talk on the TED website (great videos, great ideas). She discusses what is was like for her to lose all connection with her current state of reality and become one with all the energy in the universe.

There seems to be a developing comment thread on the digg page and also on the ted page. Some find her comments quasi-religious, others believe her analogies on the brain are over-simplified.

Nevertheless, I found her talk quite inspiring.

I spotted the mythical cubed-shaped watermelon while in Tokyo. There are several other shapes that the Japanese have thought of too! The oddly-shaped watermelon retails from 10,000 yen to 20,000 yen ($83 to $174 USD) and usually caters to the fashion-conscious. Cube watermelons gets their shape from the progressive glass cases that farmers place them in while growing. The Office Ringtone

I've had The Office MP3 format ringtone on my Sony Ericsson Z520a for nearly a year now. And everytime I hear it, I love it*:



For those who wish to get it on their cell phone's too, here's what you got to have:

1. A way to transfer the MP3 to your phone:
-Such as a bluetooth-enabled PC and a bluetooth-enabled cell phone
-If you don't have bluetooth capability already on your pc, you may want to visit your local IT electronic store for a USB Bluetooth Key. They're affordable and very handy. Your local craigslist or ebay vendor may be selling one for cheaps.
2. The Office Ringtone
-After syncing the pc and the cell, the transfer is quick
-Most cell phones will offer the option to set the newly transfer MP3 file as a ringtone and Voilà! Now every time your cell phone rings you'll take a deep breath and say in your best Dwight Schrute voice,

"Oh...another call from the office. How pleasant".
